A brand-new rookie FTC team learning to design, build, and code competition robots. We haven't stepped onto the field yet — and that's exactly why your support means everything right now.
Spectre is a rookie FIRST Tech Challenge team competing for the very first time in the 2026 season. We're a group of students teaching ourselves the full robotics pipeline — mechanical design, CAD, fabrication, programming, and strategy.
Right now we're in the workshop, not on the field. No competitions yet, no trophies — just a team putting in the hours to build something real. Every sketch, every CAD revision, every line of code is a first.
We build robots, but we're really building engineers. These principles guide how we work, learn, and treat the people around us.
Every prototype is a lesson. We chase understanding over shortcuts and iterate without ego.
A FIRST core value. We compete hard, help freely, and respect every team and mentor we meet.
We ask why, take things apart, and let the best idea win — whoever it comes from.
Reliability is a skill. We honor commitments to each other, our school, and our community.
Ambitious, honest, and achievable. Here's what a successful first year looks like for Spectre.
Take a competition robot from blank CAD to a working, driving machine.
Standardize how we model, review, and version subsystems before fabrication.
Get on the field, pass inspection, and play matches as a rookie team.
Recruit new members and cross-train everyone in build, code, and strategy.
Run outreach, document our journey, and earn the support that sustains us.
Before metal gets cut, it lives in CAD. Our team is sharpening its design skills modeling mechanisms, drivetrains, and subsystems. Finished pieces will appear here soon.
Rookie teams run entirely on community support. Your sponsorship buys parts, tools, registration, and travel — and puts your name on a team that's just getting started. Every contribution is genuinely felt.
Spectre is fiscally hosted by Hack Club Bank (HCB), a registered 501(c)(3) — so most U.S. donations are tax-deductible. Every dollar goes straight to parts, tools, and registration for our rookie season. Use the secure form to contribute any amount.
